Yanesen is made up of nostalgic areas that retain the atmosphere of the Showa period (1926-1989). Despite its location in the center of Tokyo, the area is quiet and time seems to flow slowly.

Yanesen is the collective name for the Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi areas, which have been attracting attention in recent years.

On days with nice weather, there are often cats that are relaxing in the area.

It is a perfect area for a stroll, with many historic buildings, delicious historical restaurants, and sundry stores.

There are also a number of nostalgic sweet shops with simple and natural flavors, which are very tasty.

Nezu Shrine is a very old shrine, with an impressive red Torii (shrine gate), and lots of beautiful greenery.

This deep-fried skewers restaurant is delicious, and the building is an important tangible property, a historic site that has been around for many years.

Whether you want to visit retro, Showa-era spots or enjoy a tour of the lovely cafes, there is something for everyone in Yanesen.
