On the second day of my Kyushu trip, I went to Saga Prefecture. Saga is west of Fukuoka and Oita.

九州きゅうしゅう旅行りょこうの二ふつか日目めは、佐賀さが県けんへ行いったんだ。佐賀さがは、福岡ふくおかと大分おおいたの西側にしがわにある。

First, I went to see the Great Camphor Tree of Takeo. The sacred tree of Takeo Shrine is the seventh largest tree in Japan, is over 3000 years old, and is located in Takeo City. It is famous as a power spot. The tree is divine, and the air around it felt brisk and calm. I was able to relax and felt pleasant.

最初さいしょに武雄たけおの大楠おおくすを見みに行いった。武雄市たけおしにある武雄たけお神社じんじゃの神木しんぼくは、全国ぜんこくの巨木きょぼく第だい７位いで、樹齢じゅれいは３０００年ねんを超こえる。パワースポットとして有名ゆうめいである。大楠おおくすは神々こうごうしく、周まわりの雰囲気ふんいきは、心地ここちよく穏おだやかだ。僕ぼくは喜よろこびに満みちたくつろぎの中なかにいることができた。

Then, I went to Yutoku Inari Shrine, which is one of the top 5 Inari shrines in Japan. It is located in Kashima City, in Southern Saga. It covers a very large area. After a 10 minute climb to the top, there is a nice view of Kashima City, and you can also see Ariake Sea. It’s just my opinion, but I thought the building was little bit similar to Toshogu Shrine in Nikko.

そのあと、佐賀さが県けんの南みなみ、鹿島かしま市しにある日本にほんの五大ごだい稲荷いなりの一ひとつである祐ゆう徳とく稲荷いなり神社じんじゃへ向むかった。とても広大こうだいな神社じんじゃだ。１０分ぶん程ほど上のぼっていったご本殿ほんでんからは、鹿島かしま市しが見渡みわたせ、有明海ありあけかいも見みることができる。これは僕ぼくの個人こじん的てきな感想かんそうだけれど、神殿しんでんが少すこし日光にっこうの東照宮とうしょうぐうに似にているように思おもった。

Because it was summer time, there were many wind chimes that had wishes written on pieces of paper attached to them.

夏なつだからか、願ねがい事ごとが書かかれた短冊たんざくのついた風鈴ふうりんが、たくさん吊つるされていた。

The shrine was very gorgeous, but the connected Japanese garden was very quiet and peaceful.

神社じんじゃはとてもきらびやかだったが、隣接りんせつされた日本にっぽん庭園ていえんはとても静しずかで和なごやかだった。

The very beautiful garden had wonderful flowers.

とても美うつくしい庭にわで、たくさんの花はなが咲さいていた。

Tomorrow I plan on going to Hakata in Fukuoka Prefecture.

明日あすは福岡ふくおか県けんの博多はかたへ向むかう予定よていだ。
